Promoting Fitness and Charity by Sponsoring the 5K Summer Series Challenge for Employees

TAMPA, FL, August 2009 —Tampa Web Design and Internet marketing firm Bayshore Solutions sponsored a 3.3 mile challenge as  part of the 5K Summer Series Challenge 2009 on Aug. 5 at Al Lopez Park for their employees. The Tampa Web design and Internet marketing firm commits on working towards a healthy and personal lifestyle by sponsoring events that incorporate health and wellness.

Kevin Hourigan, CEO and President of Bayshore Solutions noted, “We believe having a healthy work place creates a better work environment, from feeling better to the team building and motivating of each others. This challenge not only promoted health and team wellness but helped raised funds for charity.”

Bayshore Solutions also re-fueled employees by sponsoring a healthy breakfast the day after the race and having an awards ceremony for Best Time, Best Finish, Most Improved, Most Fashionable and others.

The 5K Summer Series Challenge was presented by the non-profit organization Take…The First Step Club that provides support and encouragement to walkers and runners of all levels. It is their goal to facilitate a healthy lifestyle by providing instruction, camaraderie, and resources. They sponsor events that create opportunities for fitness while raising funds for major charities such as MADD, and ZAP Fitness.
