TAMPA, FL, January, 2012 – Bayshore Solutions is proud to announce the launch of a non-profit web design for The Florida Aquarium.  The custom website design was created to increase attendance, donations, drive sales and raise awareness for the local aquarium.

The Florida Aquarium is a non-profit organization that showcases more than 20,000 aquatic animals and ecosystems of Florida and around the world.  As one of the best aquariums in the country and a premier family destination, the Tampa based aquarium puts on conservation, research and educational programs to help the community and the environment.

The Florida Aquarium came to Bayshore Solutions in need of a new website design, navigation, layout and CMS. The aquarium needed a website that could be updated and managed easily and could handle hundreds of articles (accessible from both desktop and mobile devices), photos, video, blogs, events, calendar listings and newsletters.

The website leverages a University of South Florida web design contest for The Florida Aquarium along with Bayshore Solutions expertise in web best practices, functionality, layout and website user interface to incorporate the design elements from the USF class’ and created  a powerful marketing  website.

Bayshore Solutions implemented several functionality items and content managed time savers into the new Florida Aquarium website.  On the homepage, a custom image rotation is integrated to highlight different aspects of the aquarium.  An easy-to-use drop down navigation allows quick access to all pages on the site.  For instant and reliable search results, a Keyoti search module is added to the website for simple search queries.  Integration of Bayshore Solutions’ custom WebModules Web content management system allows simple updates of content and images on the new site.  An added feature is a content managed logo and background, that the Florida Aquarium has flexibility to edit for seasonal changes.
