3 Separate Web Properties, 1 Fully Responsive Design
David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, one of the finest performing arts centers in the nation and the second largest in the US Southeast, is a venue for performances and events as well as education and public awareness. Since opening its doors in July 1987, this Tampa institution has welcomed more than 10 million guests for a wide variety of performances and events held in multiple theaters.
The Straz Center returned to Bayshore Solutions (digital partner for their previous 2011 websites) for a needed redesign of their online presence. The organization needed to consolidate three separate websites into one under the main @Straz brand, ensuring a consistent, captivating and convenient experience for visitors from all devices.
Bayshore Solutions rebuilt the new Straz Center website on time and within budget by first migrating it to the most updated CMS version of Kentico 8 to enable easier site administration, ensure accurate migration of their database of past shows and CRM information, and to offer a convenient end-user navigation. The previous m-dot mobile site in now enfolded into one fully responsive website across all devices within one url. Also consolidated into the new single website @Straz brand experience are the previously separate web properties of the Opera Tampa and the Patel Conservatory focused on performing arts education.
The Imagery driven tiled design creates visitor excitement evoking a desire to learn more about and attend the Straz center events. Then seamless functionality allows them to complete the desired actions.
Custom integration is built into the ticketing engine so customers can be linked directly to their desired performance page, interactively select available performances and seating, and purchase tickets. Custom filters also allow site users to conveniently search and register for classes at the Patel Conservatory housed within the Straz Center complex.
