The year was 1996. Cell phones were the size and weight of a brick, complete with a retractable antenna. Renting a movie meant driving to Blockbuster Video, grabbing a VHS tape off the shelf and waiting in a long, Friday-night line. It was in this year that myself and two partners set up a couple of servers in a closet – cooled by a big fan from Home Depot – and started what would eventually become today’s nationally-recognized digital agency, Bayshore Solutions.
Now with office locations in Tampa, Denver, and Miami, Bayshore Solutions is still growing strong 20 years later. Twenty years is a long time for any business, but that type of longevity is almost unheard of in the tech space. Which begs the question, “What is Bayshore Solutions’ secret to driving digital success for clients for over 20 years?” While there are many contributing factors, the answer is simple – an unwavering focus on Growth, Adaptability, and Measurable Success.
At Bayshore Solutions, our number one, primary focus is on growing our clients’ business. We begin each engagement by working with our clients to fully understand corporate targets, pipeline goals, customer experience objectives, and key business drivers. From there, our typical engagement plan includes an “Envision” phase for website development projects. This is where we work out as many variables as possible prior to project start; allowing all parties to have a clear expectation from the onset as how to drive business growth. For digital marketing initiatives we may start with a competitive analysis, audience profiling, and industry research, prior to moving into story definition, theming, and campaign development. This allows us to design a comprehensive, effective campaign to grow our clients’ business.

We are in an ever-changing industry. Bayshore Solutions understands the ability to adapt is critical to survival. As a fledgling company in 1996, we began by developing 3-page, HTML sites for small businesses. Despite our growing success as a website development company, we recognized the need to adapt in order to remain competitive and provide the level of service that our client’s required. Adaptation over the years included scaling up our hosting environment and services, upgrading our website design capabilities, and eventually expanding into online marketing in the early 2000’s.
We are proud that this adaptation has lead us to work with wonderful clients like Carnival Cruise Lines, The Melting Pot, J.C. Our ability to adapt has helped lead us to where we are today – delivering comprehensive eCommerce solutions with responsive design, complete with full-service digital marketing campaigns to support our clients.
