About the Carnival Grand Turk Cruise Center
Carnival’s Grand Turk Cruise Center opened in 2006 accommodates up to 7,000 travelers daily and attracts over 625,000 travelers annually. Located 575 miles southeast of Miami and 30 miles south of the Bahamas, Grand Turk is the capital of Turks & Caicos Islands. The island is approximately 7 miles long and 1.5 miles wide and is home to the largest Jimmy Buffets Margaretville bar, restaurant, and retail shop in the Caribbean.
Carnival Corporation & PLC needed a refreshed and updated website for their Grand Turk destination port. They wanted the site to be user-friendly and function as an inviting information source for travelers offering weather updates, cruise line schedules, live videos, and images to encourage visits and excursions through the port’s amenities. In addition Carnival needed the ongoing updating of the Grand Turk destination website to be easily handled by their internal web administrators.
Bayshore Solutions crafted the Grand Turk website design with interactive features among enticing imagery and backgrounds. Bayshore Solutions integrated WebModules content management system (CMS) to provide Grand Turk’s web administrators the ability to easily and instantly manage content, pictures, videos, schedules, and a live weather module on the site.
The websites imagery is selected to express unique personality of the 18-acre facility. SlideShow functionality and a live web cam on the homepage display the latest ports attractions. Bayshore Solutions delivered a functional website with one-click access to cruise welcome center information, island information, and port schedule to help visitors make the most of their stay on Grand Turk.
