Bayshore Solutions Catches a Cause

Interactive Marketing Firm Develops Website to Benefit Not-for-Profit Charities

Tampa, FL- December 26, 2007- Bayshore Solutions gave back to the community by developing www.penguintrot.com in conjunction with MyMatrixx, a pharmacy benefits management provider. The website gives details on fundraising efforts for several not-for-profits.

MyMatrixx will raise money by sending two runners into the snow on March 5th, 2008 including Steve MacDonald the CEO of MyMatrixx, to participate in the 9th Antarctica Marathon. MyMatrixx partnered with Bayshore Solutions, www.bayshoresolutions.com,  to have a website built to raise awareness of the fundraiser and bring in funds for the Tampa Bay Technology Forum Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

MyMatrixx wanted a way to promote their fundraising efforts and give opportunities for others to support the cause through the World Wide Web. Bayshore Solutions developed the website found at www.penguintrot.com. The award-winning web development provider known for their charitable work, integrated the website with their content management system so that the volunteers at Penguin Trot can update the website regularly with news on the marathon and pictures after the race. The website gives people the opportunity to sponsor the runners by donating a certain amount of money for every mile they run. 100% of the proceeds will go to the not-for-profits.

“This was a fun project, because we were able to give to a worthy cause with such an exciting event, running 26 miles through Antartica,” said Kevin Hourigan, CEO of Bayshore Solutions. “Building a website that promotes this fundraiser was a great idea, and we are glad we were able to be involved. Helping the community is something we always want to be a part of,” said Kevin Hourigan.

“We hope that supporters will rally us on by donating money for every mile of the race that we run. (26.2 miles in all!) All of the proceeds will benefit the Tampa Bay Technology Forum Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium,” Lindsay MacDonald, a MyMatrixx sponsored runner said.
