Challenge

Barbizon, an international modeling and acting school wanted to increase their overall presence on major search engines and rankings within the first three pages for non-branded keywords and key-phrases, which is a key to increasing search engine traffic to a Web site. By having a strong presence on the top of major search engines, Barbizon felt they could positively impact their overall online visibility, traffic and conversions on their Web site.

Solution

Bayshore Solutions developed an organic search campaign and created additional content pages reflecting the non-branded keywords and key phrases that Barbizon wanted to increase traffic for. In addition, recommendations were made to re-launch their blog, make changes to their success stories and engage in social media.

Results

With the solutions in place, in addition to a 33% increase in top organic search rank, Barbizon’s chosen keyword rankings increased from 14% to 47% (46 to 175 keywords) on the first three pages of Google, Yahoo and MSN in just three months, which resulted in visitor traffic increasing just over 60% from Google alone to the Barbizon Web site. By moving their blog, testimonials, success stories and scholarship site to their main site, Barbizon keeps visitors engaged resulting in increased time spent on the Barbizon Web site and greater potential for conversion. Launching a social media campaign has enabled Barbizon to create conversations with their target audience using the channels they prefer.
