Country Walkers is a Grand Expeditions Company celebrating their 25th year in adventure travel in 2004. Their travel experiences move beyond the beaten path and enter into the truth of a culture, its history and people—all the while marveling at a trip that unfolds without a hitch. The dedication by the Country Walkers staff results in a majority of their customers returning again to indulge themselves in additional travel experiences.


 

Challenge

Country Walkers’ existing site didn’t meet their branding expectations. In addition to its lack of images and inability to effectively convey the brand, the existing site also produced a very low number of leads due to poor conversion.

Solution

Bayshore Solutions redesigned the Country Walkers homepage to increase conversion by using eMarketing strategies. This effort included the addition of a newsletter sign-up and improved visual elements. From the back-end of the web site, a centralized reservation service was installed that functioned as a booking engine for not only the Country Walkers web site, but also all of the web sites under the Grand Expeditions umbrella.

 

Results of the efforts (search engine optimization, new and effective landing pages, PPC for branding and positioning, and b calls to action to desired customers) showed positive improvement.

 

Within the first 30 days of the campaign’s implementation

  •  Average Google Page Rank improved from #5 to  #1.75.

 

Within the first 90 days,

  • brochure requests, e-mail signups, and reservation requests increased by 40 percent.
