About The Straz Center
www.StrazCenter.org
The Straz Center began as a dream by visionary citizens of Tampa who persevered to bring to reality one of the finest performing arts centers in the nation. It is many things to many people and it’s more than just a building, more than just a performing arts center. It is a presenter, a producer, an educator, a community partner and an economic engine for the Tampa Bay area.

Challenge
The website platforms were built on the Kentico Content Management System framework allowing more frequent and customized content updates, ease of use for non-technical users, and a robust ASP.Net/SQL Server platform for agile integration with existing back office systems.
Solution
Bayshore Solutions’ website design and development services combine to provide these two websites’ professional and reliable presence. Each website provides users the ability to buy tickets, place donations, sign-up for the e-center newsletter, and directly interact with the Straz Center social media.
Bayshore Solutions’ interactive Web design and additional technologies including the use of Flash action script and Java script were employed to provide impressive display and control for the website visitor. Usability surveys of subscribers, donors, single ticket holders, and those not familiar with the Straz Center contributed to the remarkable end-result.
Background
The Straz Center creates a regional economic impact of more than $100 million each year. To the local economy it can mean more tourists staying in hotels, eating in restaurants, shopping in stores and visiting other venues while they are here. At both the local and national level, the center provides access to more than 700,000 people of all ages, abilities and cultures each year. It also provides jobs for artists and other professionals who have a passion for the arts and for their mission.
The new custom website development for the websites showcases interactive features such as video, production photos, song samples, and more including: the Straz Center’s upcoming shows and events, dining and catering options, plus Patel Conservatory’s classes, schedules, outreach, shows, orchestra and other educational offerings.
