About MarineMax Vacations

MarineMax is the nation’s largest recreational boat and yacht retailer. MarineMax sells premium brand new and used recreational boats, related marine products and provides yacht brokerage and charter services. Its newest division, MarineMax Vacations, offers charter boating vacations from world-wide luxury crewed yachts, European Canal Boats and Windstar Cruises to its primary focus of Sailing Monohulls and Power Catamaran Charters in the British Virgin Islands. MarineMax Vacations strives to provide an unsurpassed, premium, hassle-free boating experience to its customers.



MarineMax Vacations partnered with Bayshore Solutions to build a website design to reflect its high-end brand and clientele. The new web presence needed to build brand strength and carry the right voice to reach the company’s discerning clientele and increase charter vacation and yacht sales leads. In addition, the new website needed to not only allow visitors to access information with ease and speed, but also provide calls to action that deliver charter and sales leads to MarineMax Vacations.


Bayshore Solutions designed a website that focused on the target audience of the website –active boaters—with images that portray their love of water, adventure and travel. Bayshore Solutions also integrated DotNetNuke, a content management system, specifically requested for this website. This website’s custom design and development allows visitors to easily navigate the website and fill out various call-to-action forms furthering the company’s goals of increasing leads and sales.

Bayshore Solutions designed the website for MarineMax Vacations to deliver an engaging visitor experience and tangible business results. Ongoing expertise in promoting the site is delivered through Search Engine Optimization and PPC advertising to attract traffic that drives results.


From website launch in October 2011 to June 2012:

  • Organic visits increased 1,064%
  • Keywords bringing users to the website increased 1,331%
  • Non-branded keywords bringing users to the website increased 1,313%


In just 3 months, conversions increased 46%, while cost per conversion decreased 43%.
