Founded by Steve and Doris Colgate in 1964, Offshore Sailing is America’s #1 Sailing School®. They are the leader in sailing vacations and sailing lessons with US SAILING certified instructors. The school has produced over 100,000 graduates from its many sailing school locations. Offshore maintains award winning sailboats and sailing catamarans at seven locations across the United States and the Caribbean.

Challenge

As the bellwether of sailing schools, Offshore Sailing’s website did not reflect the reputation and quality of service established in their 45 years of business. Among other things Offshore’s core services were strewn among different websites.
 

Offshore Sailing’s previous Low converting and hard to find websites were taxed with outdated design and confusing navigation. A fresh look was needed along with an optimized layout for visitor usability and search engine optimization.

Solution

Bayshore Solutions provided a number of dynamic solutions to meet the Offshore Sailing’s needs, including:

The Offshore Sailing School Web site uses all of the most current Web best practices in an entirely new format. The formerly separate Offshore Sailing School, Colgate Schools, Colgate 26, Offshore Sailing Club and Power Cruise School sites now all reside in one centralized location. According to Doris Colgate, “truly beautiful templates wrap each one.”

 

  • Consolidation of Offshore’s online forms and methods of contact into a handful of targeted forms using Bayshore Solutions' Form Builder module.
  • Custom Social Media presence established with specifically designed Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages.
  • Search Engine Optimization and Pay Per Click campaigns with site design and functionality built in.
  • Updated e-mail templates to match the new look of Web presence.
