Through the years, Swim ’n Sport changed with the times, now offering some of the most stylish, sexy swimwear from leading designer labels. Because of their success in meeting the needs of their customers, the chain has grown to more than 36 retail locations with more on the way. What they were missing, however, was a significant online presence with successful e-marketing programs.
Mark Sidle, president of Swim ’n Sport, said that, while they had good relationships with their customers, they were looking for a way to stay connected and maintain these relationships online, as well as build a new customer base unfamiliar with the brand through an online presence and e-marketing.
Recognizing the challenges of their Web site, Swim ’n Sport selected Bayshore Solutions to lead a full redesign, integrating robust content management and e-mail management software. The result was a Web site that not only encouraged return visits and online purchases, but also worked to build a relationship with their customers.
When Web site visitors submitted their e-mail addresses, they would then enter into a relationship program to receive various communications such as company updates, product information, promotions and special offers. This not only allowed customers to stay informed, but also gave Swim ‘n Sport the opportunity to capture important demographic data for better marketing. In addition, Bayshore Solutions worked to improve the Swim ’n Sports search engine optimization (SEO) tactics for superior positioning on search results on sites such as Yahoo! and Google, as well as refining and targeting pay-per-click online banner advertising campaigns.
Results from Bayshore Solutions' search engine optimization efforts have resulted in Swim ’n Sport links appearing of first page search results for more than 35 search terms on major search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN as well as secondary and industry search engines. Their e-mail marketing and pay-per-click campaigns were also showing success with increased new and return visits to their Web site. But these efforts have resulted in more than just higher traffic on the Swim ’n Sports Web site. Following the implementation of the Bayshore Solutions programs, Net Sales increased 56 percent in 2005 from the previous year and an amazing 176 percent by the end of 2006.
